PCSAT is a new satellite dedicated to the packet lanced in September 2001. The satellite is managed by Bob Bruniga, creator of the APRS system, functions like the digit APRS and as the Digi packet at 1200bps. It is possible to work with PCSATT receiving or transmitting at 145.825 Mhz, using as UNPROTO address "APRS VIA PCSAT-1" or "APRS VIA W3ADO-1". It is possible to do everything with a TH-D7 but it is advisable the use of a directive and a pursuit system. As a software one can recommend UI-VIEW. Click here to see a scheme of relevant UI-VIEW of the stations listened to from my station the 05/03/02. ISS is the International Space Station. From about 1 year it has been re-activated with the packet with the installation of a new antenna by the astronauts on board. The ISS packet works in a similar way to that of PCSAT, uplink and downlink. The frequencies are different in this case: 145.800 Mhz for the downlink and 145.990 Mhz for the uplink. Also in this case one is recommended to use a UI-VIEW while the UNPROTTO address must be "APRS VIA RSOISS". Click here to see a scheme of the relevant UIVIEW to the stations listened to from my station of the 06/03/02. ISS is also connectable with via voice!
